For my first post on this blog, this being all about the small city I live in, I thought of doing a review on all 4 cab companies in my area, like a cab battle royale.
So first cab company I've ever tried was Fox Valley Cab. I rode in their cabs in the late 90's and in the new millenium and they're the cleanest but awful expensive. They don't do meters so their cab prices are based on distance so in my city it costs 12.50 a ride from anywhere in the city to anywhere else and 25.00 from the mall to my city The service is great but not the price.
Next one was the Appleton-Menasha-Neenah Cab or as they call it Yellow Cab. They're also the cleanest cabs around but are the same price from Appleton to Neenah, my city, or vice versa. They're cheaper to get around Neenah, about 5.50 less than Fox Valley Cab.
Just a warning, if it's 3:00pm and you need a cab don't call the two above mentioned cab companies during Monday-Friday because they are hired by rich people to take their kids home from school on those days. I ran into this problem when I missed the bus from the Appleton Transit Center and needed to get to an appointment in Neenah and they told me it would be an half an hour wait. I haven't hired them since.
Now on to the ones I will recommend. The first one is Atlas Taxi. They are the second cheapest cab company in the area but their cabs could use some work. Just saying. But I did see some new cabs that they recently got and they look okay so they're improving. It costs 20.00 to get from Appleton to Neenah. I don't know how much it costs to go within the city.
The last one is A Cab. This one is by far the cleanest, the cheapest and the nicest service I've ever gotten from a cab company. It's about 19.00 and change to get from Appleton to Neenah and 4.00 cheaper than Yellow Cab to go within Neenah. Best bang for your buck indeed!
So, the winner of the Cab Company Battle is...A Cab! This is the company I would recommend most to anyone needing to take a cab. They're the best!
